The memorial service celebrating the life of Jon Lynk, of Akeley and formerly of Wadena, will be held at 2:00p.m on Saturday, October 21, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Wadena, with Pastor Jim Stoneman presiding. The gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:30p.m. until the time of the service. ~~~~~ You are able to watch the service via our Facebook Page : Search "Schuller Family Funeral Homes Wadena" ~~~~~ Unexpectedly, Jon, age 44, passed away due to natural causes on October 12, 2023, at his home in Akeley, MN. Jonathon Paul Lynk was born to Terry and Mary (Severin) Lynk on September 30, 1979, at Tri-County Hospital, in Wadena, MN. He attended Wadena Public Schools and later graduated from MState College in Wadena from the Commercial Maintenance program. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, fishing, deer hunting, camping and everything outdoors, and had been employed as a tree service technician. Known for his artistry, Jon used his sketching and airbrush talents when painting motorcycles, mailboxes, sawblades and various custom items. He also did woodworking and built raised gardens. Throughout his life he loved animals and had a soft spot for each of his dogs. Time with family and friends was important and his kids were his pride and joy. Preceding Jon in death were his grandparents, Earl and Estelle Severin, and Dale Lynk; and uncle, Tom Severin. Remembering Jon will be his children: Dayton Hammers of Perham; Tianna Saltzman, Dreamer Saltzman of Alexandria, Harley Lynk and Hayden Lynk both of Wadena; one granddaughter; parents, Terry and Mary Lynk of Wadena; siblings; Shawn (Shannon) of Glenwood and Tonia (Jason Young) Lynk of Luxemburg; grandmother, Ruby Lynk of Wadena; numerous nieces and nephews; significant other, Luella Brady of Akeley; along with extended family and a host of friends. Honorary urn bearers will be Jon’s children, nieces, and nephews. Scattering will take place at Jon’s favorite hunting place in northern Wadena County.
