Luella Sweere

The Mass of Christian Burial for Luella Sweere of Bluffton will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton, with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Friends may call on Thursday, at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary at 6:00 and Parish Prayers at 7:00. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Luella (Lu) Sweere, 77 passed away Sunday morning, June 30th 2013. Luella Ione Fultz was born February 24th 1936, to Jim and Edna (Sunstrom) Fultz in Wadena County, Minnesota. She was married to Larry Sweere December 29th 1953, in Wadena, They made their home in Wadena until 1974, when they moved to Wheaton Minnesota and became owners of Wheaton Lanes. In 1983, they moved to Henning Minnesota and bought Henning Lanes and a few years later the hardware store as well. In 2004, they moved to Bluffton Minnesota, later due to failing health, she was a resident of Fair Oaks Lodge until the time of her death. Lu’s Hobbies included cooking, baking and bowling throughout the years. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Lu was preceded in death by her husband Larry, parents Jim and Edna (Sunstrom) Fultz, father and mother in-law Harry and Julia (DeBruyn) Sweere, her brothers Lloyd, Raymond, and Willard; brothers and sisters-in-law Gerry Sweere, and Joe and Marline (Sweere) Peters; and her 3 little angel granddaughters Christine Sweere, Katie and Kristi Frisch. She is survived by her children Dan (Deb) Bluffton MN, Tim (Carol) Gresham OR, Barb (Dean) Frisch Wheaton MN, Dave (Carol) West Fargo ND, and Mike (Donna) Wheaton MN; grandchildren Scott Sweere, Marc (Paula) Sweere, Matt (Toni) Sweere, Josh Sweere, Craig Sweere, Bo Teberg, Michele Sweere, Stephanie (Brandon) Clark, Paul (Amanda) Frisch, Adam (Suzanne) Frisch, Trent (Whitney Klein) Frisch, Sarah Frisch, Ken (Amber) Sweere, James Sweere, Blake Sweere and Brock Sweere; great-grandchildren Hunter, Karlee, Natalie, Isaiah, Dayton, and Teagan Sweere, Isabelle, Marissa, Charlie and Logan Frisch; along with in-laws Dale and Dorie Sweere, Kathy and Gene Hinman, Deb Johnson, and Caroline Almack. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Bluffton.
