Paul Rach

The Time of Remembrance celebrating the life of Paul Rach of Bertha, will be held at 2:30 p.m on Friday, May 3, at the Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha. An Open House gathering Paul’s family and friends will be held on Friday, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Domian-Anderson Chapel. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, near Bertha, MN. Paul James Rach was born October 30, 1956, in Bertha, MN, to parents Lawrence and Gloria Rach and was the middle child of three. He graduated from Bertha High School where he played football. Paul married Cindy Allen and had four children. He farmed alongside his dad, Lawrence, for many years. He also worked as a welder, and later, went to Wadena Technical College and obtained his CDL license. He drove milk truck and over the road for a number of years and eventually retired from the Todd County Highway Department. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, water skiing, bowling, pitching horseshoes, and playing in softball tournaments. He also enjoyed hanging out with friends and having a couple cold ones. Paul enjoyed watching his children’s athletic events and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always up for pulling a practical joke on someone. Anyone who knew him knew that he had a big heart and would do more to help other people than himself. Paul was known to share stories about his snowplow work, like the time he plowed a path for a stranded couple on a snow covered road on the way to the hospital to give birth to their child. Paul passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo North Dakota under the care of Ethos Hospice. Preceding Paul in death are his parents, Lawrence and Gloria Rach and sister-in-law, Connie Rach Paul is survived by his brother, Bradley Rach; sister, Kathy Ostlund; his four children: Chad (Laura) Rach, Fargo, Marshall Rach (Kim Brill) Vergas, Reggie (Sierra) Rach, Wadena, and Ashley (Jake) Hull, Staples; nine grandchildren: Patrick and Isaac Rach, Parker Rach, Brynn, Logan, and Huxley Rach, and Madysen, Reece, and Tatum Hull. Paul’s family would like to thank all the family, friends and caregivers that visited, called and assisted Paul while he was at Bethany Retirement Living. Honorary Urn Bearers are all Paul’s family and friends.
