The Mass of Christian Burial for Steve Wegscheid of Hewitt will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena with Father Jean-Claude Duncan as celebrant. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Parish Hall in Wadena with Prayers at 6:00 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena, MN. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are invited to watch the service via live stream by going to Schuller Family Funeral Homes' Facebook Page or YouTube Page ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Surrounded by his loving family, Steve passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, at his home in rural Hewitt, MN, with loving care by his family and compassionate care by Lakewood Hospice of Staples. Steven Anthony Wegscheid was born to Wilbur and Mary Lou (Nesges) Wegscheid on March 1, 1964, at Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN. On July 12, 1986, Steve married Robin Recor at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Bluegrass. They made their home west of Hewitt and had three beautiful children. As a GM Master Technician for 38 years, Steve (and Robin) will be remembered in the community for the service provided beginning in 2009 as owners of Steve’s Alignment and Repair in downtown Wadena. After 17+ years they retired. The pair also operated a beef cattle farm … always together 24/7/365! Away from work, Steve enjoyed the outdoors while hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling. Most of all, he loved spending time with Robin, his kids, grandkids, extended family, and friends. As a “people person”, Steve helped everyone he could and gave all his love to his family. He was also an active member with the Knob Hill Sportsman’s Club and the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. Preceding Steve in death was his father, Wilbur. Forever remembering Steve will be his devoted wife, Robin; children, Jason (Nikki) Wegscheid of Aldrich, Sara Wegscheid of Wadena and Tyler Wegscheid of Hewitt; grandchildren: Haylee, Zayden, Boone and Caseyn; mother, Marylou Wegscheid of Wadena; brothers, Larry Wegscheid, Jim (Jodi) Wegscheid, John (Lisa) Wegscheid, Chris Wegscheid and Bryan (Lucinda) Wegscheid all of Wadena; along with extended family, friends, and customers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sara Wegscheid, Haylee Wegscheid, Zayden Dominguez, Boone Wegscheid and Caseyn Wegscheid. Serving as pallbearers will be Monte Scheller, Ray Stach, Tim Allen, Jason Williams, Jason Wegscheid and Tyler Wegscheid.
