Tim Hagen

Timothy Omer Hagen was born on October 8, 1948 to Otto and Delores (Burns) Hagen in Minneapolis, MN. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a US Marine from 1968 until 1970. He worked until retirement serving his community as an employee of the US Postal Service. Tim was united in marriage with Cheryl Marie Hines at St. Peter & Paul Church in Loretto, MN on April 26, 1969. They have lived in the Eagle Bend area for the last 12 years. He enjoyed music and playing cards on the computer as well as spending time outdoors hunting and taking care of horses. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. Tim passed away at his home on Monday, July 10, 2006 at the age of 57 years. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; grandaughter Britney Jonas; brother Kevin and sister Dorinda Chabot; and his in-laws Bill and Regina Hines. He is survived by wife Cheryl; sons Shawn (Becky) of Eagle Bend and Aaron of Eagle Bend; daughter Cari (Randy) Jonas of Eagle Bend / Clarissa; grandchildren Cody Jonas, Kaitlyn Jonas and Karlee Jonas; brothers Larry (Rita) of Crystal, MN, Michael (Lynn) of Bertha, Greg (Bonnie) of Loretto, MN and Joe (Beth) of St. Michael, MN; and sisters Pat (Dale) Patnode of Minneapolis, Delores (Dick) Ellison of Spring Lake Park, MN, Mary Rita (Ray) Pearson of Anoka, MN, Debbie (Ed) Ehrlichman of Holdingford, MN and Maureen (Tom) Eggert of Avon, MN. He is also survived by his special friends Lee Klimek, Kris & Milt Zumbrunnen as well as his brother-in-law Dicki Hines and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the New Life Church of God in Bertha with Reverend Allen Refsland of the Wadena Assemblies of God Church presiding. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Villareal, Gary Patnode, Dillon Hagen, Matthew Allison, Mark Allison, John Allison, Dale Chabot, Mike Chabot, Jeremy Hagen, Christopher Hagen, Jason Eggert and Adam Ehrlichman. Pallbearers were Ben Hagen, Nathan Hagen, Paul Hagen, David Hagen, Peter Pearson and David Chabot. Interment was in the Minnesota Veteran's Cemetery at Camp Ripley, MN "Well done, My good and faithful servant!"
