Bruce C. Erickson

One week after his 78th birthday, Bruce passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Bruce was born to Clifford and Bernice (House) Erickson on March 3, 1941, in Rochester, MN. Bruce was united in marriage with Lila Marie Sangl on December 24, 1975 at the Evangelical Free Church in Rose City. Having attained his Bachelor’s degree, Bruce became a teacher. He also farmed with a dairy herd and, in later years, worked as an assembler at WalMart. Bruce loved living on the farm and tending his garden. In quiet moments, he enjoyed reading, especially books by Louis L’Amour! Bruce was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a knack for telling “dad” jokes, sharing a smile with everyone, and will be missed by all who knew him. Preceding Bruce in death are his parents, Clifford and Bernice; son Steven Coyer; and son-in-law Bryan Lietz. Surviving Bruce are his devoted wife, Lila; children, Russell (Juanita) Erickson, David Erickson, Debra (Dennis) Rux and Jennifer (Jeremy) Eckel, Brian Coyer, Rita (Kevin) Glebe, Sid Coyer, Laurie (Roger) Meredith, Anthony Coyer and Michael Coyer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with a sister, Lois Erickson.
