Dian Tolson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The open house celebrating the life of Dian Tolson of Eagle Bend, will be held from Noon until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at the VFW Post 6318 in Eagle Bend, MN. Dian, age 61, passed away unexpectedly April 4, 2022, at the Lakewood Health System Hospital, Staples, MN. Dian was born to Roger and Norma (Thompson) Farrell on November 9, 1960, in Fairbanks, AK. She married Richard Tolson on Valentine's Day 1993. They made their home in Tappen, ND. Following Richard's passing Dian spent her remaining years in Eagle Bend, bringing her closer to family. During this time, she acquired many new friends which was her knack. She spent her retired years watching Hallmark, playing computer games, and running errands with anyone who needed her. Dian was a kind, generous person that enjoyed the good company of friends and family. She had a love of animals that began at an early age and continued throughout her life. Horses, dogs, and cats held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed traveling, Medora and Deadwood SD were two of her favorite spots. Those closest to her will reminisce fondly on her many garage sale stops, her love of decorating for each holiday, the making of her famous macaroni and cheese, and the fun card games played. She is gone too soon and will be missed by many. Preceding Dian in death were her husband, Richard (2013), and her father Roger Farrell. Dian is survived by her mother, Norma (Dan) Bullock of Anoka, and step-mother, Shirley Farrell of Eagle Bend; children Kassie (Richard) Lacina of Lisbon, ND, Amanda (Aaron) Bulman of Maple Grove, MN, and Jeremy (Ashley) Wallner of Minot, ND; 11 grandchildren; sister, Sheila Booker; along with numerous friends.
