Elverna Gossell

January 13, 1929 - February 19, 2022

Funeral services for Elverna Gossell, of Clarissa and formerly of Bertha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend with Pastor Justin Hesterman presiding. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Schuller Family Funeral Home's Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha and will continue on Monday from 12 Noon until the time of services at the church. Elverna passed away at the age of 93 years on Saturday, February 19, 2022, under the gentle care of the staff at the Central Todd County Care Center in Clarissa.   Elverna was born to August and Alvina (Drawbert) Huelsnitz on January 13, 1929, in Bertha, MN. She was united in marriage with Melvin Wallace Willard Gossell on August 28, 1949, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bertha MN. Elverna worked at the hardware store and at the Bertha Clinic as an Administrative Assistant. Her interests away from work included wood working, painting, gardening, quilting and sewing. She was very involved and happy to help in the Bertha Historical Museum.   Preceding Elverna in death were her husband Melvin, (1991); parents, August and Alvina; and siblings, Orvilla, Elsie, Vilma, Bernard, Willard, Bernice, Glenna, Victor, Helen, & Henry.   Left with loving memories are her children, Bruce Gossell of Frazee and Brad (Sherry) Gossell of Vadnais Heights; along with grandchildren, Carl, Kaitlyn, Steven & Anthony.  Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Fah, Jamie Banister, Carl Gossell and Kaitlyn Gossell.   Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Bertha, MN.
