Glenn Wilson

August 20, 1944 - April 17, 2022

The funeral service for Glenn Wilson of Henning will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Glenn, age 77, passed away on April 17, 2022, at the hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Glenn Gale Wilson was born to Mert and Hilda (Krause) Splittgerber on August 20, 1944, at Redwood Falls, MN. He was raised in the town of Morgan Minnesota, and graduated from Morgan High School. Glenn went on to be an ironworker for Knutsen Co. out of local 512 in the Twin Cities. He also was a missionary in the 90s in Honduras where he helped build a hospital for people in need. Glenn went on to meet Maria Banegas while in Honduras and they married on March 18, 1997. Glenn loved outdoor sporting, such as fishing, hunting, archery, and Sporting Clays. Glenn's interests included cheering for the Vikings with his grandson Jonathan, always being around family and friends, and he had a strong relationship with the Lord. Glenn will be forever loved by his wife, Maria of Henning; children: Jennifer Weber, Sharon Palmer, Brenda Castallanos, Mario Castellanos and Jose Montes; grandchildren: Cheryl Weber, and Richard Weber, Saydi Montes Zelaya, Jose Montes Zelaya Jr, Jonathan Enamorado, Gustavo Montes, Natalie Castellanos, Elizabeth Aguilar; sister, Audrey Isaacson and half-sister, Andrea Gust; along with Maria’s parents, Isabel and Manuel Banegas of Honduras. Preceding Glenn in death were his parents, Mert and Hilda; and granddaughter Sally Castellanos (July 16, 2020).  Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Enamorado, Wilmer Aguilar, Jose Montes Zelaya, Luis Montes Zelaya, Jose Montes Sr, And Bruce Ward Burial will be in Perham Cemetery, Perham, MN.
