Guy Bundy

September 15, 1931 - February 17, 2020

The Celebration of Life open house for Guy Bundy, of Wadena, will be held on Saturday, September 5, from 10:00 a.m.until 1:00 p.m. with a Time of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m. Guy, age 88, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, February 17, 2020, at the Essentia Oak Crossing Care Center in Detroit Lakes, MN under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Guy was born to Warren and Gladys (Griffeth) Bundy on September 15, 1931, in Alexandria, MN. He served in the US Army from September 1948 during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in May 1952. Guy was united in marriage with Carolyn Ann Auran on April 9, 1955, in Alexandria. They moved to Wadena where they raised their family. He was a man of varied talents and worked as a carpenter, tire recapper, as well as in a forestry office and later in a grocery warehouse. His interests away from work included hunting, fishing with Carolyn, woodworking and tire recapping. Guy was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn on December 15, 2011; son Scott Ronald Bundy on June 14, 2019; parents Warren Bundy and Gladys Bundy Nelson; and sister Clara Mae (Bundy) Tvrdik. Surviving Guy are his daughters, Cheryl Bundy of Fargo, ND, and Patricia (Art Holliday) Brockob of Waukee, IA; 10 grandchildren,7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Teppi Bundy of Deerwood; siblings Thomas Bundy of Alexandria and Mike (Linda) Bundy of New London; along with numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Honorary urn bearers will be all of Guy’s grandchildren. Military Honors provided by Elmer Goche Post 3922, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Wadena, MN.
