Joan Graphenteen

February 7, 1930 - February 17, 2022

The funeral service for Joan Graphenteen of Sauk Rapids and formerly of Bertha will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 25th. The services will be at the New Life Church of God in Bertha MN and Pastor Jason Knoll will be presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Joan (age 92) passed away on February 17th 2022 at the Good Shepherd Living Center of Sauk Rapids MN. She was under the gentle care of Centra Care Hospice.   Joan was born to Paul and Freda (Weiher) Fischer on February 7th 1930, in Stowe Prairie Township in Todd County, MN. She graduated with the Bertha High School Class of 1948.   Joan married Marvin V. Graphenteen on October 4th 1952, in Eagle Bend, MN. In addition to the tasks of raising and caring for her family - she worked as a postal clerk for many years. She used some of her many talents oil painting, sewing, crafting and jigsaw puzzles to name a few.  Joan was a member of the New Life Church of God, WCG, Bible Study and the Senior Citizens.   Preceding Joan in death were her husband, Marvin (1985); parents, Paul and Freda; siblings Violet Lesley, Ellen Godding, Bonnie Callahan and Alvin Fischer.   Loving memories of Joan will remain with her children, Candis (Walter) Jansen, Deborah Graphenteen, Dennis (Cheryl DeWolfe) Graphenteen, Linda Graphenteen and Robert Graphenteen; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.   Active pallbearers will be Cody Graphenteen, Chad Graphenteen, Jeremy Graphenteen, Jeff Drescher, Rory Hollander and Roger Graphenteen.   Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Bertha, MN.
