Linda Snyder Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The memorial graveside service celebrating the life of Linda Snyder of Pillager, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, at St. Frederick’s Catholic Cemetery in Verndale. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the graveside service. Linda, age 66, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at her home, on July 12, 2022. Linda was born to Leo and Mary (Schwartz) Nanik on November 11, 1955, at Wesley Hospital, Wadena, MN. Growing up Linda was active in 4-H activities and many exhibits at the County fair along with dog projects. She had a knack with animals all of her life. She was able to care for them and work with them to show off their special abilities. She enjoyed her high school years and graduated with honors from Verndale High School. Just before graduation, she met Stanley Snyder and they were married on February 14, 1976, at St. Frederick’s Catholic Church in Verndale. Meeting and helping others was a natural talent of Linda’s. She worked various jobs, from food service to convenience stores. Her biggest joy and success was showing quarter horses over the years. Many times she and her horses received awards along with one AQHA Championship! Preceding Linda in death were parents, Leo and Mary; brothers, Jerry, Tony and Jim Nanik; and sisters, Helen Nanik and Arlene Marquardt. Surviving Linda are her devoted husband, Stan; best 4-legged friend, Riley; siblings, Joan Bridges, Sue Schmidt and Rich Nanik; along with her lifelong friend, Vonnie Perius.
