Mary Ann, age 81, passed away with her loving and devoted husband by her side on November 3, 2021, at the St. William's Living Center in Parkers Prairie, MN. Mary Ann was born to John “Byron” and Edna (Wardien) Svarvari on December 3, 1939, in Wadena, MN. She was baptized December 31, and later confirmed her Lutheran faith on May 10, 1953. After graduating in 1957 from Deer Creek High School, Mary Ann was united in marriage with Charles Curtis Anderson on May 10, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. After working several years at Wadena State Bank, Mary Ann later became an awesome and devoted dairy farmer's wife. A devoted and faithful Christian, Mary Ann participated with the Ladies Aid, Bible studies and teaching at church. Her greatest joy came when she was with her family, attending the many sporting events and activities in which her grandchildren participated, including 4-H cattle shows. Other interests included watching college basketball and NASCAR racing, fishing at Lake of the Woods and ceramics. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting family gatherings. Vacationing with her sister and brother-in-law and trips to a casino brought her lots of fun too! Preceding Mary Ann in death were her parents Byron and Edna; great-grandson Cooper Kapphahn; and sister, Janice and her husband Richard Wiederhold. Treasured memories of Mary Ann will remain with her husband of 63 years, Charles; children Cindy (Ronnie) Tindal, Gregory (Kristen) Anderson, Brenda (Eugene) Roller all of Hewitt and Lisa (Tony) Huckeba of Haslet, TX; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
