William “Bill” John Blank was born September 23, 1968 to Howard and Margaret “Peg” (Davis) Blank. He graduated high school in 1986. He enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Los Angeles from 1986 to 1990. Over the years, he worked as a real estate agent and bartender. In his spare time, Bill had fun riding motorcycles and go-carts, and appreciated the outdoors when fishing and hunting. Bill resided at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes since 2015 where he passed away on September 22, 2019. Bill is survived by his parents, Howard and Margaret Blank of Bertha; siblings Howard (Lisa) of Clayton, NY, Sue Larson (Tom) of Oakdale, Mike of Portland, OR, and Dion Alger of Detroit Lakes. Preceding Bill in death was his sister Marlene. Funeral service will be held Wednesday October 2nd at noon at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel in Minneapolis followed by a Military Burial with honors at 2:00 PM followed by a gathering and meal at Buca di Beppo. Pallbearers will be Mike Holmes, Howard Stiewe, Gary Klentz, Ryan Larson, Tanner Blank and Daniel Larson.
