The memorial Mass of Christian Burial for MaryAnn Haman of New York Mills, will be celebrated on Friday, August 21 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton with Fr. Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday and continue until the time of the Mass. MaryAnn passed away MaryAnn, age 76, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the Perham Living Care Center in Perham, MN. Due to Covid-19 burial was held on March 21, 2020 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bluffton. In lieu of memorials please donate blood and/or plasma to the American Red Cross. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A private graveside service for MaryAnn Haman of New York Mills was held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Bluffton with Fr. Aaron Kuhn presiding. MaryAnn, age 76, passed away with family by her side on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the Perham Living Care Center in Perham, MN. MaryAnn was born to Mathias and Eleanor (Buettner) Weniger on January 2, 1944, in Breckenridge, MN. She was raised on a farm west of Wahpeton, ND. After completing the first grade at a country school, her family moved to Wadena, MN. She attended St. Ann’s Parochial School and then graduated from Wadena Public Schools in 1962. After graduation, she was employed full-time at Wadena Federal Savings & Loan and was later appointed Assistant Secretary-Treasurer. MaryAnn was united in marriage with Ralph Haman on June 6, 1966, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena. They were blessed with six children. MaryAnn became a stay-at-home mom, helping out at the Savings & Loan as needed. In later years, she was employed by the Schuett Company of Golden Valley as manager of the Kaleva Apartments in New York Mills for over 16 years, before retiring in June of 2005. MaryAnn was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and Christian Mothers in Bluffton. She enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, puzzles and counted cross-stitch. She especially valued the time spent with her grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Preceding MaryAnn in death were her parents Mathias and Eleanor; and infant grandchildren Angela, Adam and Amanda. MaryAnn is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Ralph; children Keith (Jen) Haman, Marsha (Mike) Masog, Janell (Steve) Bernstetter, Melissa Haman, Kevin (Sara) Haman, and Sarah (Mike) Beierman; grandchildren Megan (Anna) Larson, Lindsey and Josh Haman, McKayla and Alexis Masog, Tyler, Stephanie and Madison Bernstetter, Anthony and Timothy Haman, Bradley, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Emily and Nicholas Beierman; brothers Harlan Weniger and Martin (Marilyn) Weniger; along with many other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Haman, Peter Haman, Jason Haman, Tom Waskosky. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Haman, Josh Haman, Kevin Haman, Steve Bernstetter, Tyler Bernstetter, Mike Masog, Mike Beierman. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton, MN. In lieu of memorials please donate blood and/or plasma to the American Red Cross.
