The memorial service celebrating the life of Robert Cline of Bertha, will be held at 4:30p.m on Wednesday August 30, at the Domian-Anderson Chapel in Bertha, with Pastor Jim McGaffey presiding. A gathering of family and friends will begin at the chapel in Bertha on Wednesday, from 3:30p.m. until the time of the service. Robert Allen Cline was born to Richard and Rhonda (Anderson) Cline on November 14, 1982 , at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN. He was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bertha. As a boy, Robert enjoyed watching Dukes of Hazard and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Everyone around him was on a mission to find toys from the movies and shows he watched! Fun was had when riding bike and playing ball with his brother and sisters. He was fortunate to spend a lot of time with his Grandma Cline and Aunt Janice. Robert graduated from Bertha-Hewitt High School in 2001. He took pride in playing football and winning sections with his team players. In high school he was given the nickname "Berta" by classmates which has stuck with him. Robert also met his high school sweetheart at Bertha-Hewitt, Tracy. As years went by, Robert went hunting, fishing, on motorcycle rides, or worked on small motors and he grilled delicious meals. Robert was known for enjoying scaring family and friends. Other favorite pastimes were going to truck and tractor pulls and he really enjoyed spending time with his dad at the farm! Robert had numerous jobs but driving truck was the job he liked the most. Unfortunately, due to a car accident in 2002 that required spinal fusion, driving became difficult. Robert was fun-loving, kind-hearted, and devoted. He and his two daughters loved a good round of playing catch, going fishing, or getting tea with his daughter, Natalie. Robert greatly enjoyed watching both of his girls play high school sports and attending their games. All of his family remained very special to him. Preceding Robert in death were his grandparents, Ronald and Shirley Anderson, and Alice and Wesley Cline; uncle, Bob Cline; and aunt, Dawn Anderson. Memories of Robert will remain with his life partner, Tracy Bowman of Bertha; daughters, Alayna (Melvin) Cline of Wadena and Natalie Cline of Bertha; father, Richard Cline of Browerville, mother Rhonda (Kirby) Stoen of Fergus Falls; siblings: Michelle (Mason) Miller of Chester, NJ, Mike (Patti Bergman) Cline of Williams, Mandi Elken of Otsego, Renee (Bryan) Becker of Bertha and Clara (Sam) Robben of Staples; along with several extended family members and friends. Honorary urn bearers will be Mason Miller, Mike Cline, Bryan Becker, Sam Robben, Keith Bowman, Matt Bieberbach and Jason Tabatt. Robert's final request was to be an organ donor. Burial will be held at a later date.
